The Science of Laser Hair Removal

At our clinic in Oxford we use Diode Laser hair removal technology, which is based on the theory of selective photothermolysis. This theory was developed from the clinical work showing that the hair follicle can selectively absorb energy sufficiently to disable it without causing damage to the surrounding tissue. In order to achieve this a high powered laser with a wavelength that is highly absorbed by the melanin (dark pigment) that surrounds the hair follicle is required. CLINIC UPDATE DECEMBER 2020 Following the Tier 4 restrictions in place in Oxford the clinic will be closed from December 26th until government restrictions allow us to reopen. Whilst we await for greater clarity on the duration of the tier 4 lockdown any clients with appointments booked in the coming weeks will be contacted two days prior to their booking with confirmation of whether the booking can proceed or will need to be rescheduled. Bookings that need to be rescheduled will be given priority when we are able to reopen, we will generate an automatic new booking for you into the earliest booking space that accommodates your treatment duration. Clinic Update   - 9th July 2020 News - Clinic to Reopen from Monday 13th July. The government have now given the go ahead for clinics to reopen with 'restrictions'. This means that we are able to reopen our doors on Monday 13th July and offer our usual treatments with the exception of Facial Treatment.
